Slope: A Colorado Mystery, a new book by Joseph McHale, has been released by RoseDog Books.

Police Sergeant Tom Ketchum pulled the pin and left the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles to retire on Colorado's Western Slope. He took an easy job as a lawyer's private investigator. Life was good at $50 an hour plus expenses. The tranquility was wonderful at Glenwood Springs, Aspen, Vail, and Beaver Creek. One Sunday morning, it changed when the Sanderson night patrolman was gunned down in the city manager's office. The police chief admitted to the shooting, and this began one of the most complex federal criminal investigations in Colorado history. Tom Ketchum was right in the middle of it.

Joseph McHale is a retired Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). He was commissioned a police officer, detective, and sergeant in Englewood, Colorado. He was also a Lafayette, Colorado, policeman, a Colorado State Certified Peace Officer, and a Colorado State Certified Police Academy Instructor. As a private investigator, McHale was licensed in Wisconsin and Florida. He was a member of the Professional Private Investigators Association of Colorado, and he worked in Special Investigation Units based in Milwaukee, Chicago, Cleveland, Mission Viejo, and Tampa. McHale also taught at the National Insurance Crime Bureau's (NICB) Special Investigation Unit (SIU) Academy. He was born in Scranton.

Slope: A Colorado Mystery is a 204-page paperback with a retail price of $22.00. The ISBN is 978-1-4349-8281-0. It was published by RoseDog Books of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
