Skyhorse and The Explorers Club Partner to Publish Books

NEW YORK, Dec. 1, 2015 /PRNewswire-iReach/ Skyhorse Publishing and the Explorers Club are teaming up to publish books together.

The arrangement kicks off with Skyhorse committed to publishing three books from the Explorers Club in 2016two to be released in the spring, one in the fall.

Up first are two books for Spring 2016: Matthew Henson and Robert Peary's A Journey for the Ages, about the authors' historic North Pole expedition, and Apsley Cherry-Garrard's The Worst Journey in the World. An additional title for Fall 2016 is an updated version of Lowell Thomas's book Famous First Flights That Changed History: Sixteen Dramatic Adventures, by Thomas and his son, Lowell Thomas Jr.

Jay Cassell, Skyhorse Publishing editorial director for sports and outdoors publishing, said the companies would update other classic books by Explorers Club members in the coming years.

THE EXPLORERS CLUB

The Explorers Club is an international multidisciplinary professional society dedicated to the advancement of field research and the ideal that it is vital to preserve the instinct to explore.
