In "It's All About You: A Guide to Good Mental Health and Wellness," Dr. Rapazzini attempts to reach those that want information about mental health, but aren't comfortable talking about it.
"One in five adults has a diagnosable mental health concern," Dr. Rapazzini said. "This is a resource that can be the first step in obtaining help for an individual or their loved one."
Intended to open up dialogue about mental health and reduce stigma and fear, Dr. Rapazzini's book comes not only from her experience as a counselor and health professional, but also from her personal journey.
"When my son received a serious diagnosis," Dr. Rapazzini said, "I experienced depression and anxiety. I was very apprehensive to get help, especially working in the profession. If we can just help people over that first, big hurdle of reaching out, the road gets much easier."
