About the Author
Shellie Jones was reared in a rural area in the South. During her teenage years, Jones began her family at a very early age. She spent 10 years attending community colleges on a part-time basis. After the death of her first husband, she and her three children relocated from the city back to her small hometown.While rearing her children as a widow, she attained her marketing degree from a historical black college. After making some bad choices in life due to loneliness, she suffered emotionally, spiritually, physically, financially and intellectually. Her health declined and died in 1998. Afterward, while she was in intensive care, she had a visit from an angel who encouraged her to keep on her journey utilizing her gifts and talents. She was promised to be supported until her work was finished. The doctors were dumbfounded and told her she needed to get on one of the prestigious hospitals' heart transplant list immediately. After being diagnosed by a new cardiologist, Jones and her new doctor experienced a miracle. The Lord had healed her enlarged heart and leaking valves. Since then, she made a commitment to be God's servant and strive to make a positive difference to those who needed hope and encouragement regardless of their circumstances.
