When Aborinth, a rare malicious being, trades places with her prey and becomes hunted by an unknown deadly creature, she takes refuge in a tiny village she and her companion uncover from a blanket of deceptive magic. What they stumble upon inside this tiny village will change their lives and those of the villagers forever.
In what one reviewer refers to as "a complex moving tapestry of characters and settings," the story unfolds in author Sharron Andrades's new novel, "Aborinth: Tears of Ascension: The Beginning of the End" (published by Balboa Press).
Andrades began writing Aborinth's story and didn't realize at the time that the book's premise was the effect of bullying. "My book gives an in-depth first-hand experience as to the effects of bullying, even though set in a fantasy realm filled with mystery, adventure, action and sorcery. My book is real life glammed up with illusions of fantastic grandeur tied with a red ribbon of whimsical glitter known as fantasy," she says.
Excerpts from "Aborinth: Tears of Ascension":
And even though she is different from us, and has wings, maybe it is us who are different from her. I'm different. Are they going to kill me too?
When you die, the world will grieve for its loss. But when I die, who will grieve for me? Who will miss me? Who will cry for me, if I don't cry for myself?
