Septuagenarian and first-time author Kerry Freeman has finally found the inspiration and the time to publish his debut novel, titled "Triple Score: A Character Study." Freeman's heart-stopping mystery fiction is about a series of tragic deaths that occur every score of years, or twenty years, hence the title of the book. It follows four friends whose sense of adventure and curiosity gets the best of them.

They were truly the best of buddies - Phillipe Bardot, Jonathan Stone, James Brady, and Marie Arnett - and they tended to be together in everything, such as school, church, play activities, etc., never thinking about anything except the equality of their friendship. The four of them were inseparable since they were 10 years old, and their best times were the hazy, lazy days of summer at the swimming hole but then "the best laid plans of mice and men often go astray."

Seamlessly blending suspense and thrill, mystery and history "Triple Score: A Character Study" is one story that will open readers' eyes and remind them of the realities surrounding the thoughts and biases of everyday people and how they affect their lives and the lives of others. Freeman has cleverly crafted a thought-provoking story that delivers a simple message: "There is room in this world for more understanding."

About the Author
Kerry Freeman is now 79 years of age, and when he retired at age 66, he said he might write a book. However, he never could think of an idea that would sustain interest. Now, 13 years later, an idea struck him. From the point of knowing the beginning of his story and the tentative ending, he started writing, with no knowledge of how the middle of the storyline would be. The words just came to him as he wrote by hand. He picked up a pen and a legal pad and started.
