BOOKOFF U.S.A. Inc.(BOOKOFF) is happy to announce that it will open a brand new "Used Superstore" in the heart of Lakewood City, Los Angeles, inside the Lakewood Center Mall, as "BOOKOFF Lakewood Center Mall Store" on March 23, 2013.
This store is going to be the 6th store in Southern California, and is a part of BOOKOFF's plan to expand its stores in the American market. Lakewood Center Mall store will have floor area of 8,504 sqft, and will carry 200,000 items including books, video games, music CDs, DVDs, iPads, iPods, Kindles and other electronic goods. The store will be the largest used bookstore chain in the west coast.
"By opening up stores we were able to provide 340 million products to the consumers in Japan instead of discarding them," said Mr. Shingo Koganei, president of BOOKOFF U.S.A. Inc. "In America, we are going to contribute to the recycle-based society as stores that buy from customers, books, video games, music CDs, DVDs, etc. that are not needed anymore. We are targeting to open 2 or more stores annually in the west coast."
BOOKOFF buys books, video games, music CDs, DVDs, iPads, iPods, Kindles and more at the store, in cash, whether it is just one item or hundreds. BOOKOFF sells these goods starting at $1.00.
