eattle author Molly McCord is seeing her book topping the Amazon charts at #2 in the Memoirs: Adventurers and Explorers category next to Twelve Years A Slave by Solomon Northrup and the longstanding favorite from Elizabeth Gilbert, Eat, Pray, Love. The Art of Trapeze is currently rising in popularity alongside Oprah's recent recommendations: Twelve Steps to Compassion by Karen Armstrong, The Untethered Soul by Michael A. Singer, and Deepak Chopra's latest, What Are You Hungry For?

"It's stunning to see this response to my first book since all of my 'marketing' has been through word-of-mouth and social media," says McCord. "I'm hearing from readers how they connect with many elements of the story love, travel, choices, vulnerability, joy as experiences in their own life journey." Amazon reviewers rave about the insight, the authenticity, and the humor with which McCord shares her story and her message.

The Art of Trapeze is Book One in McCord's The Awakening Consciousness Series. The second book, The Modern Heroine's Journey of Consciousness, connects The Art of Trapeze with Joseph Campbell's archetypal hero's journey, the essential stages of spiritual growth, and life as a modern woman. Book Three in the series, The Unlimited Sparks of a Bonfire is scheduled to be released Spring 2014.

McCord describes the Awakening Consciousness Series as a grand adventure of soul discovery for the reader. It begins with an opening to modern life circumstances; deepens into a fuller understanding of consciousness and choices; and culminates with an inner sense of personal power, peace, and presence. "Nothing like this series has been done so far," says McCord, "and the response to date is great validation that it is truly timely."

McCord's credits include contributing author to The Thought That Changed My Life Forever (Morgan James), with Dr. Joe Dispenza, Dr. Bernie Siegel, and Michael Bernard Beckwith. In addition to releasing The Art of Trapeze and The Modern Heroine's Journey of Consciousness, McCord has recently published Conscious Messages: Spiritual Wisdom and Inspirations For Awakening, and Conscious Thoughts: Powerful Affirmations To Connect With Your Soul's Language.
