Jonas Ridge, NC

Poet Kenneth Ollis has assembled what he feels to be an altogether original work in his new poetry collection, "Seasons of Poetry" (published by iUniverse).

"My poetry is written in a different style from others I have seen," Ollis says. "Each poem is distinctly different. Collectively they are entirely different from other books of poetry readers are likely to encounter."

Ollis states that his poems are intended for a diverse audience. The poetry within "Seasons of Poetry" covers a range of topics and emotions, with some conveying sadness and others inspiration.

An excerpt from the poem "Old House":

"The road leading to your door, old house,
Still guarded by a rusting iron gate;
Causes you to remain visible and admired.
Passers by consider your fate.
The landscape would seem void without you,
Although your magnolias and willows are no more.
Your once manicured lawns and lovely gardens
Have no caretakers as before."
