About the Author

Sealie Vaughn West was born in Honduras and lived in the village of Rio Tinto until he was 9 years old. In 1973, at the age of 15, West came to the United States and settled in Philadelphia for 32 years. He attended school to learn the basics of English in order to attend high school. After high school, West worked for a machinery company for 23 years. He became a naturalized American citizen in 1986 and moved to California in 2001, where he presently resides.
