An unsuspecting citizen is caught in the evil web of cloning in author John M. Carlo's new science fiction thriller, "Cloning of America" (published by Archway Publishing).
Jon Donner, an auto mechanic and subservient husband of a TV personality, is wrongly accused of killing a presidential candidate when he accompanies his wife on a campaign trip she is covering. Jon is shot by clones and accidentally injected with a gel developed by Nazi Germans that gives him superhuman powers.
"Back in the 1940s, Hitler realized defeat in the Second World War was inevitable," the author says. "He believed that cloning would provide him the ability to be immortal and eventually defeat the United States from within, without fighting a military war. Hitler believed that with patience and perseverance, no matter how long it would take, eventually one of the clones would be elected President of the United States."
Carlo adds that he wants readers to take away from the story: "Clones today are virtually impossible to detect. The practicality and danger that clones may be walking among us today is real. Hitler may still be alive through a clone."
