Author Sara M. Iosue loves watching her grandchildren play and explore. "When they want something, they will try to figure out ways to achieve their goals," she says. In her new book, "Fowler's Rainbow" (published by AuthorHouse), two little boys work together to realize their dreams and create a rainbow.
"It was my personal experience of seeing how engrossed my children and grandchildren became when listening to stories," says Iosue.
Set in the fictional town of Grover Falls, Miss., the book follows two imaginative and creative little boys, Bryce and Kyle, who decide they want to see a rainbow. Too impatient to wait for a real rainbow, the boys become junior scientists. They gather up all of the food coloring containers in their kitchen and make several trips to their favorite puddle on the side of the garage. Readers will cheer on Bryce and Kyle as they try to create their very own rainbow.
"I think everyone, not just children, feels a special delight in seeing a rainbow after the dreary rain," writes Iosue. "I tried to capture the innocence of children so as our children and grandchildren grow and mature, we have the memories of how they innocently listened to stories, waiting to find out how the characters made out in the end."
