In "Ask Dr. Blackjack" (published by AuthorHouse), Sam Barrington's new book of blackjack tips and advice, readers will discover the confidence they need to sit down at a blackjack table, have a good time and not embarrass themselves by making novice mistakes.
"Ask Dr. Blackjack" is a blackjack book for the average Joe. Barrington's advice doesn't involve any card counting, and his tips are easy to understand. The book is designed to help average players reach a few simple goals, including: to play longer, have fun, understand the game and maybe make a little money.
An excerpt from "Ask Dr. Blackjack":
"Well, my friend returned a couple of hours later with $135 worth of chips in his hand.
I said, 'Where did you get all that damn money?'
He said, 'Playing Blackjack.'
I had to know more about this game."
Barrington doesn't subscribe to the idea that a person must be a genius to be a successful blackjack player. "I don't confuse readers with graphs and charts," he says. "I dwell on the odd plays in blackjack that most people don't understand, and I explain it to the reader in a way that will stick with them."

About the Author
Sam Barrington grew up in a farming community. At 17, he dropped out of high school and relocated to Little Rock, Ark. He took a job as a valet parking attendant. Many years later, Barrington purchased the commercial parking company that hired him as a teenager. He went on to own another parking company, purchase some parking lots and a strip mall, start a portable rent-to-own business, own an employment agency and open a car repair service with a tow truck company. Barrington also taught himself to snow ski and fly a plane. His work ethic in business influenced his approach to blackjack, which is both a game and business for Barrington. "Ask Dr. Blackjack" is his first book. More information can be found at http://www.askdrblackjack.com.
