"Selina of Sussex" is a highly engrossing read that has realistic imagination woven around true facts and through the eyes of his grandfather's grandmother, the author leads readers back into Sussex country life in the nineteenth century. This compelling family story follows Selina, from the village of Ripe, who marries Eli, a young farmer who receives a call to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It shows how her strong and capable support whilst bringing up 14 children enabled her husband to enlarge his farming activities whilst pursuing his life's work as preacher and Baptist pastor.
This engrossing story reveals Selina's struggles and fears as she carries the family, the farm and in many ways her husband too.

About the Author
Leonard Holder was born in Brighton, Sussex on the 69th birthday of his grandfather, Ebenezer Dan, the grandson of Selina and Eli Page. He inherited a real love for the countryside that Eli had loved and as a teenager felt God's call to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For several years he preached in some of the same Sussex chapels that Eli had helped to establish. In 1983 Len moved to Switzerland with his wife Phyl and their two sons. Today Len & Phyl run Haus Barnabas in the Black Forest, welcoming guests from around the world. (http://www.haus-barnabas.com)
