Samantha Pague returns to the world of historical romance with the release of her new novel "Savonnerie Masterpiece: The Tribulation" (published by AuthorHouse). This new book is the spellbinding follow-up to Pague's first book, "Savonnerie Masterpiece: The Commission."
Told in Pague's signature storytelling style, this new book recreates France in the pre-revolutionary era, a time of shifting morals and intellectual awakening. The novel captures the drama and dynamism of this period through the Savonnerie Masterpiece, an iconic carpet commissioned by Pierre Bourbon through the well respected crafter Jeannie Guise-Guise. It charts its delicate creation to its coming out party, an event celebrated by the entire country of France.
"I want my readers to realize that the idea of creating a Savonnerie Masterpiece can be used to foster relationships in the world," Pague says. "It can start a dialogue with governments and be a great place to start when tensions between neighboring countries becomes strained."
"Savonnerie Masterpiece" is a rich and deeply layered story that pays tribute to the depth and dynamism of history, particularly art history.
