Twinking lights, gleeful children, and a big turkey dinner with the family can inspire warm and fuzzy feelings for some of us. But for others, the holidays mean untangling those pain in the ass Christmas lights, dealing with the demands of greedy kids, and fighting with their dysfunctional family.

To all those who love Christmas—and for those who can’t wait until December 26th —Denis Leary is here to wish you a Merry F***kin’ Christmas. The first book in a joint partnership between Running Press and Comedy Central, Denis Leary’s Merry F***in’ Christmas (Running Press; November 2012; $15.00) is based on the irreverent title track from his classic Christmas album and Comedy Central’s annually aired TV special.

A portion of any profits the author earns from sales of this book will be donated to The Leary Firefighters Foundation. Denis Leary, star of the cult dysfunctional Christmas classic, "The Ref", brings that same sensibility to Merry F***in’ Christmas.

This hilarious anti-holiday “children’s book,” in the vein of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, features brand new verses and original stop-motion animation art. Leary’s in-your-face humor shines as he covers everything from drunken Santas and cranky elves to irritating family members and even holiday consumerism.

Can’t stand the holidays and all that comes with them? Set a match to the Christmas cards, take a swig of bourbon, and read Denis Leary’s Merry F***in’ Christmas.
