Having enjoyed several years as a professional Father Christmas in a major capital city department store, author Roger S. Trevor has endeavored to share his experience in his book, "Will The Real Father Christmas Please Stand Up" (published by Xlibris AU).

Trevor meticulously recorded details of hundreds of visits he had as a professional Santa Claus. Now, for the first time, he is presenting the public with a unique record of many of those intimate events in his own inimitable style, laced with some philosophy about attitudes towards Father Christmas. The humour, sadness, delight and despair are all here in this one true record of Santa 'interviews' and the reader will undoubtedly recognise themselves somewhere in the pages, whether it really is them or not.

A work of over 15 years, the book portrays a diversity of beliefs, cultures and social behaviors that builds up to the realization that the 'Old Gentleman' is a real and meaningful Christmas identity. Trevor leaves it to readers to come up with the same conclusions, or not, saying, "If you believe he is real, then he is. If you don't, then he isn't. It's what you want to believe that counts."

About the Author
Roger Trevor was born in Adelaide and currently resides in Marino, South Australia. He has always delighted in recording special experiences, so he could not resist diarising most of his interviews as a professional Father Christmas. When a friend suggested the diary would provide good material for a book, he realised it would be a great opportunity to share those experiences.
