At a time when there are already many modern English Bible translations, "Why another translation?" is perhaps what potential readers will have in mind with the publication of translator Robert Thomas Helm's "The New Testament: Modern Evangelical Version" (published by Xlibris). Helm who was simply impelled by a desire to put the Bible in a very accurate and readable language, humbly presents another translation for all contemporary readers.

While no Bible translation is perfect, this book is quite unique in certain respects. Helm's translation employs the colloquial English of the 21st century, as the New Testament is intended to communicate to common people. God's Word has never before been translated in a way so understandable for the modern-day English speaking faithful.

Other special features of the book include endnotes after each chapter that list important variant readings in the different Greek manuscripts and study guides with questions appended at the end of each New Testament book.

As readers come to know Jesus as their personal Savior and Lord, death will cease to symbolize the end. "The New Testament: Modern Evangelical Version" will help rekindle faith in Jesus Christ.
