Author Robert Hardin creates a story of love and suspense as one man finds out that his new wife may have a very dark side in his new novel, "Subtle Possession" (published by iUniverse).
"It's the battle of good versus evil, but attached to an everyday couple and their relationship," says Hardin.
After a bitter divorce, 52-year old James Thompson has about had it with marriage, but Cynthia Strathmore changes all of that. She seems like the answer to James' prayers. They marry, and James moves into their house, but something evil seems to be growing. James experiences eerie happenings in the house that can't be explained, and he suspects that a demon might be the cause. Though not particularly religious, James seeks spiritual guidance, but will it be enough to conquer the evil lurking in his home and marriage?
"I think people can relate to James," Hardin writes of his protagonist, "and sometimes want to slap him for how ignorant he acts. His character has a more realistic appeal."
He advises readers, "Be mindful of your life. Maybe not all the bad that goes on is your fault."
