Author risë announces the release of her new book of poetry, "Spy in da House" (published by AuthorHouse), a set of poems with a minimalistic theme.

"A college professor once told me that simplicity is the hardest to achieve," risë explains. "Achieving simplicity has become the theme of my life, art and writing. Those interested in simplifying their lives, minimalizing their carbon footprints and living uncluttered lives may find these poems interesting. Everyone is thinking about, talking about simplifying their lives. It is surely a process and these poems are part of my quest."

Risë compares her writing to that of Han Shan, a Chinese poet of the Tang dynasty: "He would go about living and whenever, wherever he was, if the thought congealed, he wrote it down on trees, rocks... like him these poems appear as I go about living my life."

Distinct for their brevity of expression, risë's poems reflect her current life condition and it is her hope that "Spy in da House" offers inspiration to people of all ages.
