Author Richard Nolte urges halfhearted Christians to step up their game in his inspirational new book, "Nominal Christianity" (published by WestBow Press).

"'Nominal Christianity' is an attempt to clearly show the difference between shallow, halfhearted, lukewarm Christians who have a form of Godliness but no power in their lives," Nolte explains, "and the true believer who knows the voice of the Lord, prays with absolute confidence, and has joy, peace and rest that is known to others."

Rather than claiming new insight and revelation, Nolte uses numerous quotations from believers throughout history, from the time of Christ to the present. He seeks to show readers that there have always been a select few who have adhered to the principles of the Lord, listen to his voice, worship him in spirit and truth and experience the miraculous power of God in their lives.

According to Nolte, these true believers have been surrounded by what he calls "nominal Christians - those who know who Christ is, profess Him with their mouth, establish organizations or denominations, claim to have the correct doctrine, and become so set in their delusions that they persecute the true and faithful followers of Christ."

"The time is short," Nolte warns. "Jesus said that if you are lukewarm He will spew you out of his mouth. This is more important today than it ever has been."
