Richard Marquez Jr., a first time author, has completed his new book "One Golden Rule": a creatively crafted and vividly illustrated teaching guide for children.
"I have turned my focus to writing children's safety books. My desire is to teach children timeless messages about safety with rhymes that are easy to remember and make sense. I plan to continue writing 'rhyme with reason' books to educate children about timeless safety issues," said author Richard Marquez Jr.
Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Richard Marques Jr.'s poignant tale is a creative learning book for children; helping the reader understand different safety precautions.
"A friend's daughter, Ashley, when she was eleven years old, encouraged me to write this book. She had mentioned that her older brother's friends were continuously stopping by when they knew her brother wasn't home. I immediately taught her and her friend a quick rhyme. 'If it feels bad in your heart, then it's time to part!' A few weeks later, when I spoke to Ashley, she told me that she and a friend were at the water park and that a car with two young men had parked close by. She said it just did not feel right, and she remembered the rhyme, 'If it feels bad in your heart, then it's time to part,' and she and her friend immediately left the area. I feel that rhyme with reason is a great way to help children remember some of life's valuable lessons and may very well save their lives-quite possibly many times over," said author Richard Marquez Jr.
Readers who wish to experience this creative and educational work can purchase "One Golden Rule" at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play or Barnes and Noble.
