Nearly 50 percent of marriages end in divorce, according to the American Psychological Association. The Rev. Dr. Catherine Weathers asserts that marriages cannot survive on love alone.

Weathers' book, "Creating Living Series: Is Your Husband Not Married?" takes a spiritual approach to maintaining loving, healthy relationships. This easy-to-read book clarifies what men and women truly want out of relationships, how our beliefs enhance those relationships and how having faith can prevent divorce.

In her book, Weathers introduces the concept of three - God, man and woman - as a model for a fruitful, lasting marriage.

"Marriage is a two way street on a one way highway with an advantage point. The two partners must always agree to disagree and this can only be done with the help of God," Weathers said.

Readers will gain a new perspective from Weathers' personal experience as she struggled through three marriages and subsequent divorces, only to find clarity through her spiritual life. As a mother and three-time wife, Weathers encourages readers that they can have healthy relationships with a little hard work and help from God.

In addition to the spiritually based advice provided in the book, Weathers also touches on contemporary issues in relationships such as homosexuality and professional careers.
