Renata Roberti's experiences in the social media of writing and reporting exposed her to the raw realities of life: joy, tragedy, exhilaration, pitfall, victory and despair. It is these qualities and elements of our lives that the author seeks to share with the readers in her intriguing novel entitled, "The Red Moon" (published by Xlibris).

"The Red Moon" is an intelligent, gripping murder-mystery that contrasts the apparently happy, fulfilling lives of a prominent, career-driven physician named Dr. John Althauss, his devout wife Jane, and Mary Ellen Vasilyev, the svelte self-centered woman who is both a friend of Jane and a former lover of John Althauss.

When Dr. Althauss is mysteriously murdered, Jane is confronted with the poignant realities that surface during the police investigation. Filled with exciting twists and turns, the true nature of mystery will bear itself out as the story unfolds. This novel will show the reader that things are seldom what they seem, and that what is seemingly obvious may not necessarily be clear.

The appeal of the "The Red Moon" arises from the author's carefully and cleverly constructed psychological drama - a drama that Roberti uses to tug at many of the delicate emotions that lie deep in every person. As the story is a reminder of how people can be influenced and motivated by the values and beliefs of today's society, "The Red Moon" stands out as a stunning and timely read.
