Real Estate Mogul, Ron McElroy Releases WRONG SIDE OF THE TRACKS Memoir

The rags to riches story of Ron McElroy's transformation from escaping drugs, alcohol, and violence to maturing as a real estate mogul is described in his memoir Wrong Side of the Tracks, launching April 9th, 2013, on sale at Amazon.com.

McElroy comes from a strong Hawaiian background that impacts his daily values and the predestined path if Ron gave in to the surrounding discrimination, police violence, and self-destructive peer group, instead of forging his own path.

"Blessed with fortune is the only way to describe my life. It's like a big jigsaw puzzle, and I'm constantly looking for the right pieces to plug into the right spaces. They always seem to be there if I just look hard enough."

Always holding strong to his family values, Ron never gives up on his older brother and early-life hero Bill, who after many years of undeniable loyalty, takes a never ending turn for the worse. His younger sister Susie, ever sweet and loyal, has her innocence stolen from her and vows her life's allegiance to the Tony and Susan Alamo Christian Ministries Foundation. Ron's mother "Tutu" a strong, hardworking woman holds the family together, despite a mentally unstable husband. It is Tutu who teaches the children, about her Hawaiian upbringing and how it can shape them. With a son in-and-out of jail and a husband who too always needed rescuing, she looks to Ron for dependence as he tried to balance his old, troublesome life and that which is new and worth pursuing.

This easy to read, relatable story follows Ron from young adolescence through sports, high school, dating girls including Nicole Brown Simpson, college at UC Santa Barbara, his surfing days, and his tumultuous journey to become the successful entrepreneur he is today. Growing up, Ron held on to the American Dream but saw American families who had it all, yet parents divorced or children despised their parents. He saw that his life, despite poverty, encompassed a strong family support network from which they thrived off one another.

Despite growing up and maturing, obstacles seem to follow Ron, having a difficult first marriage and struggling through his father's death alone. Ron learns the hard way, the true importance of strong family bonds, discipline, skills, and a positive, loving spirit that can take anyone on a new life path.
