Reading Eggs, the online reading program for children, has been honored with the 2013 Academics' Choice Brain Toy Award, a prestigious seal of educational quality, reserved only for the best mind-building media and toys.

The independent Academics' Choice Awards program and its seal of excellence are recognized worldwide by consumers and educational institutions as a mark of genuinely effective learning tools that stimulate the mind, and provide potential for the student to fully develop higher order thinking skills.

Nominated in the Website category, the Reading Eggs online program was awarded the top honor by an Academics' Choice panel consisting of leading thinkers and graduates from Princeton, Harvard, George Washington University, and other reputable educational institutions. Nominees were evaluated on their education benefits such as higher-order thinking skills, character building, creative play, durability and originality.

Reading Eggs, which provides a comprehensive range of online reading lessons, games and activities for 3-13 year olds, has previously been awarded the 2012 Best Educational Software Award in both the Early Learning and Early Elementary categories. They were also named the Parent Test Parent Approved Winner in 2012, and received Homeschool.com's Seal of Approval in 2013.
