Rascally Dragons Inspire New Children's Book

It's often difficult for children to understand the reason behind practicing kindness to themselves and others. Once they're able to make the connection between compassion and enjoyment, life becomes much easier.

Co-authors Missy Burroughs Johnson and Cybele S. Hunter have created "The Truejoys and the Stinjas", a children's storybook that reveals this connection between respect and joy. It follows the transformation of a rambunctious dragon clan that leave their old ways behind as they discover the secret wealth found in kindness and giving.

Missy Burroughs Johnson's writing adventure began after receiving a Master of Science degree in Reading Specialization. This sparked her interest in both reading grants and creating stories for children. During her career, she has been awarded funding for reading grants that provided book sets, novels, reading programs, and teacher training for 32 South Texas public school districts and several private schools.

Cybele S. Hunter began writing humorous stories at an early age to amuse her friends and family. She is now a professional ghostwriter with a particular interest in children's literature.
