Fouse shares, “As a young father, I took my wife and three children to a Christmas tree farm in the middle of a Minnesota forest to cut down a tree for our home. We saw many tall, full, perfectly-shaped trees, but they were a bit beyond our budget.
Then we found a cute little tree, not perfect in shape and not quite as tall as the others. The children immediately fell in love with it, and the idea of “The Crooked Little Christmas Tree” was born.
My book calls to mind that family experience of ours. We wanted to have a special Christmas season in our home, and we saw the potential beauty of our little tree. And, on Christmas morning, our tree was radiant.
Over the years, I’ve told this story hundreds of times to my three children, my nine grandchildren, and their friends.”
Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Ramon Fouse’s new book is a poignant story destined to be told and retold in family gatherings where the beauty and purpose in what is often overlooked is recognized and celebrated.
Just as the Crooked Little Christmas Tree is accepted and brings joy to those who saw his true beauty, readers of all ages will be inspired to be more loving and accepting this Christmas.
