About the Author

Raghubir Lal Anand was born on October 28, 1939 in a village named Eklas in Tehsil Pindigheb of District Campbellpur near Rawalpindi (now in Pakistan). After the partition of India in 1947, his parents migrated to India as refugees. Though his early education was in India, he graduated from Tribhuvan University (Nepal). His wide portfolio of employers includes Military Engineering Services, Department of Atomic Energy Government of India, headed by Dr Jehangir Bhabha, Birla Group of Industries, Ashoka Hotel, and India Tourism Development Corporation in various senior positions. His pioneering concept about the use of solar energy is being applied throughout the country and abroad due to paucity of electric power. In 1974, he published the highly acclaimed book "New Horizons in Purchasing."
