Looking at the modern day video games that children have at their disposal, author Radha recalled the games she played as a child, before computers and video games became popular. She reminisces fondly of how children could play outside without fear, and how life seemed so simple and uncomplicated. In her vibrant picture book, "Pearls of Wisdom" (published by Xlibris NZ), she invites readers to relive those days through the perspective of a family in Fiji, combining nostalgia with the appeal of witnessing a unique culture and society in its heyday.

This is a story about four brothers in a rural setting in Fiji, and follows them as they play their simple games and engage in youthful adventures. As the story progresses, readers will see how the siblings learn some very important life lessons as they grow up into adulthood. This universal coming of age tale is filtered through the lens of Fiji's culture and mores, which Radha says readers from other countries may find different and fascinating. The narrative aspires to convey universal and timeless values while portraying another time and place, conveying the author's treasured memories of yesteryear and the joys of living in the tropical paradise that is her homeland.

With her children's book, Radha hopes to convey to her readers the precious "Pearls of Wisdom" that the father shares with the four boys, namely: respect for nature, appreciation and gratitude, family, and change.
