Rabbi Boruch David Gives Readers an In-depth Look on Torah Scriptures Image Set for a new marketing campaign, “Adam and Eve: The Rest of the Story Secrets from the Ancient Wisdom of the Jews” (published by Xlibris in January 2016) attempts to bridge religious differences by taking an in-depth look on Torah scriptures. This first volume of the “Torah for Nations” series presents a detailed and intimate presentation of the story of Adam and Eve.

Rabbi Boruch David is an Orthodox Jew and a 12th generation ordained rabbi. He was raised through an intense and comprehensive study of the Torah. He taught about it for more than 40 years. Renowned for the novelty of his insight and imagination, he brings the Torah to life through this book. While remaining true to the literal text of the Bible, the book enhances the Biblical narrative by expanding the conversations between God, Adam, Eve and the serpent. According to David, these enhanced conversations, while imaginative, remain true to ancient Jewish interpretation and weave a comprehensive understanding of traditional Jewish philosophy and theology within the story line. Additionally, essays that prepare readers to better appreciate the subtleties and lessons inherent in the conversations support each conversation. Questions follow each chapter to stimulate discussion and further study.

An introductory section presents key concepts of traditional Jewish belief such as creation, the age of the universe, the purpose of existence, chosenness and human limitations. Additionally, footnotes are incorporated in lieu of a glossary of Hebrew terms, making the text more user friendly and accessible.

“Read this story as you would any other, but remember that it is our story, and we are all players in its unfolding script,” David says. “The characters may seem to be the stuff of myth and fable, but they are no different than you and me. Their lives, challenges, successes and failures mirror our own, and after all is said and done, we, like them, are solely responsible for the legends we leave behind.”

“Adam and Eve: The Rest of the Story Secrets from the Ancient Wisdom of the Jews” is a chronicle of humanity’s struggle in accepting truth and living by its tenets. Its stories are as integrated as they are independent and as timeless as the moment they happened. Ultimately, they are a single narrative transcending time, because it is the story of time.
