R. Kyburz Releases NOORIDA AND MACMOO

Who says only grownups can take care of nature and the environment? In the storybook "Noorida and Macmoo," author R. Kyburz uses a wonderful tale to reach out to children and teach them the importance of environmental conservation.

The 800-year-old plant, named Macmoo, sadly informs her that a new road is about to be built and that it is about to be cut down to make way for the construction. Noorida knows that there is something special about Macmoo and tries to come up with a plan to convince the adults to save it. Will the young girl find a solution before it is too late?

In this beautifully illustrated tale, R. Kyburz proves that caring for the environment is a universal concern and that even children can be taught to appreciate nature and find ways to preserve the environment. About the Author
R. Kyburz is a 70-year old former industrial chemist, born and educated in Switzerland. He spent most of his life in Australia working first as a chemist then starting a nursery specialising in seeds, palms and cycads.

His children came late into his life and were the inspiration for this book. He enjoyed reading stories to his children to develop their imagination, language skills and love of books. He feels story reading is a very important part of their upbringing.
