Author Derrick John Wiggins envisions a future filled with cutting-edge technological advancements in nanotechnology in his new novel, "Quest Pandora" (published by AuthorHouse).
"Quest Pandora" focuses on the lives of two main characters, CIA operative Matt Harris and female executive Nzingha Chelsea. Harris gets called out of retirement at the request of his dying stepfather's final wish: for Harris to prove that scientists are able to generate a new, self-sustaining sun.
Harris embarks on a quest to find out if a solar-powered device with the capacity to emit energy more powerful than the sun even exists, and assassins try to thwart his attempts at every turn. Meanwhile, Chelsea, the CEO of a large nanotechnology corporation, could be Harris' only hope in helping him find a new solar-powered device. Chelsea's character is well-developed and unique - Wiggins points out that not many young women are the head of their own corporations, particularly in the nanotechnology field.
"My book is about nanotechnology in medicine and traveling at the speed of light," Wiggins writes. "I believe the world is looking forward into developing things like this every day. Every day we come closer and closer to making these things real."
