On January 5, the Quest of the Keys nonprofit is pleased to announce its first official corporate sponsorships, just weeks after the launch of the organization's first fundraising campaign.
This fall, Texas-based author Scotty Sanders created the Quest of the Keys nonprofit based on his fantasy novel of the same name. Sanders believes the best books for middle school students and teens can empower them to become their best selves, and as the new Quest of the Keys Executive Director he has been actively seeking corporate sponsors to join him in that mission.
Already, four companies from across the southern United States have committed to acting as corporate sponsors. The companies include SkyRider Communications, based in Monroe, Louisiana; Worlds of Wow, based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area; Energy Hydraulics, based in Bossier City, Louisiana; and Life Catalyst Consulting, also based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
"Our company works with many school districts to provide technology solutions," said Brad Warden, CEO of SkyRider Communications. "Partnering with Quest of the Keys allows us to help deliver relevant resources to the next generation."
These four companies will provide funding and other crucial resources, helping enhance the new nonprofit's visibility. In return, the companies will enhance their own brand awareness efforts, as well as receive official recognition in future "Quest of the Keys" books, events, and educational resources.
When he first announced the formation of the nonprofit, Sanders set the ambitious goal of empowering one million teenagers by 2025. His titular fantasy novel was written to help young people discover how to lead lives of purpose, and by spreading this message the Quest of the Keys board hopes to help further reduce high school dropout rates.
While celebrating the early success of their first corporate sponsorship campaign, the nonprofit's board members are still searching for additional sponsors to partner with in the first fiscal quarter of 2016.
"We are still early in the process of engaging corporate partners," Sanders said. "I am very pleased and honored for companies who see our vision to help us empower the next generation."
In addition to the funding provided by the four companies, all proceeds from January sales of books and classroom tools on the author's website will be used to fund the nonprofit's mission.
