Prayer and poetry often go hand-in-hand. Biblical prayer is classically written in cadence, being easily converted to song or spoken word. In the new book, "Poetry to God: Volume 3: Into Thine Hands" (published by Trafford Publishing) by author Terry Webb, poetry and prayer merge as one.

This third volume of the four-part Poetry to God series is a vast collection of uplifting, spiritual poems that Webb hopes will infuse readers' spirits and revitalize their minds. Each poem exalts God as the ultimate savior of mankind and protector of the downtrodden. Webb puts to use both real-life experiences and biblical paradigms to construct the verses within "Poetry to God."

"With all the disasters, destruction, and death, all people need Christ Jesus in their lives today," Webb says. "I want readers to take God and allow Him to change their lives."

An excerpt from the poem "Lord Help Me" in "Poetry to God:"

"Give me the courage to do what's right
In all I say and do,
Help me to do Thy will 'O' Lord'
To tell the world of You."
