In a new book, "Still-Point: Poems and Thoughts upon Waking Up" (published by AuthorHouse), M. F. Taylor deviates from his seven other non-fiction books on enlightenment by writing poetry that informs and expresses aspects of the enlightened state.

The author names the book "Still-Point" after the suggested point of intersection between two levels of awareness - our regular or most common way of knowing, and a consciousness described by Taylor as an extraordinary sense of "now," and that which has a long history of expression within the literature of enlightenment.

The poems range from whimsical to the powerfully insightful as unexpected weavings of the ordinary with something more profound. The author suggests there are fundamental aspects of ourselves deeply hidden, and admits some emergent content expressed in "Still-Point" may be controversial and disturbing to some who have not yet explored or discovered inner fundamentals at the depths suggested in this unique book of poetry.
