Poetry Book Shows how Author Lived his Life Image Throughout Bill McDonald's career as an engineer, he sometimes wrote poetry capturing his feelings and emotions about important events, activities and circumstances of his life. After he retired, he decided to publish his works in his debut book "Walking on a Moonbeam: And Other Views from the Creek Bank" (published by Xlibris).

The collection of poems was written during his 50-year career in U.S. space and national defense programs, covering youth, adventure, love, seasons, change, hope, places and things, farewells, and prayer. The book echoes an important message: "No matter your initial circumstances, you can overcome them to achieve a full and satisfying life."

"Many of the subjects dealt with are universal. There are many lessons learned that are timeless," the author tells. "People who have read it like it. These lessons will appeal to many readers."
