"What I Want to Be from A - Z" is a fun way to learn about a variety of careers. Each poem contains vocabulary that will help children learn about a career. Young readers will get to know a female English red fox named Fiona, and an American gray fox named Fernando. They will view on some of the poems one of the foxes dressed up for that career.
"By a parent or teacher reading the book, the child will enjoy the colorful illustrations, the characters and the flow of the words as the reader reads each poem," says Arnold, explaining the book's potential appeal to readers.
Highlighting the importance of early childhood education, Arnold hopes that her book will be of aid for children to learn and develop a love of poetry and reading.

About the Author
Janis Arnold was born in North Wales, grew up in England and emigrated to California as an adult where she raised her three children. She is currently working in administration with the non-profit Head Start Pre-School program in California. She enjoys being around 3 and 4 year olds, and assisting with their education.
