Poetic Adventure Awaits in 'Seasons and Senses'

Darlene T. Ewers returns to the world of poetry with the release of "Seasons and Senses" (published by Xlibris), a collection of poems written over the course of 25 years. In this anthology, the author captures her personal thoughts on life, faith and nature in poetic lines and verses.

Readers embark on an insightful adventure that follows Ewers' thoughts based on her life experiences growing up on a family-owned Kansas farm with two younger sisters. Her reflections on various events that reaffirmed her Christian faith can also be found in each of the poems.

About the Author

Darlene T. Ewers grew up on a family dairy farm with her two younger sisters in Piper, Kansas. She attended St. John's College as a parish worker student. She was assigned to the Trinity Lutheran Church where she met her husband, James. Their marriage of 50 years has been blessed with four sons, four daughters-in-law, three granddaughters, two grandsons and two great-granddaughters. In 2009, one of her poems was published as a children's book entitled, "The Sea." "Seasons and Senses" is her second published book.
