TAMPA, FL - In his newest book, "The Broken Gift," engineering physicist and religious scholar Daniel Friedmann (www.danielfriedmannbooks.com) examines the two most popular and apparently wildly divergent views on the origins of human life and demonstrates that they actually agree on what happened and when.

"There is no disagreement between the fossil record and the biblical account in terms of when human life appeared on Earth," says Friedmann, CEO of the aerospace company known for creating the robotics used on the space station.

Key to reconciling the timelines is the understanding that one biblical creation day is the equivalent to billions of years; Friedmann arrived at the exact conversion of creation days to years by developing a mathematical formula based on scriptural references. He explains and decodes it in his first book, "The Genesis One Code," which was the Readers' Favorite 2013 International Book Award Winner.

"The Broken Gift," a national Writers Digest Writing Competition finalist, continues his research.

"Science the observable fossil record and scientific theory tells us the first humans evolved via speciation from a chimpanzee-human common ancestor. The Bible tells us that Adam was a divine being who, as a result of his sin, became diminished. Thus, humankind, Adam's descendants, devolved from a much higher spiritual being," Friedmann says.

Working through his formula, Friedmann shows that Homo sapiens appeared 200,000 years ago, which coincides with the fossil record. These creatures were anatomically like us but not behaviorally like us.

"Cave paintings and other evidence of our amazing creative power the features that set us apart appeared 60,000 to 120,000 years ago," he says.

Using the same formula, Friedmann shows that these dates agree with the biblical record, which credits these behaviors to the soul that God breathed into Adam. Meanwhile, science struggles with an explanation for our behaviors.

"Science and the Bible agree on what happened and when," Friedmann says. The question of why we came to be divine plan or accident is left for the reader to decide once the two bodies of knowledge are reconciled.
