Physician and Author of New Book Explains How to Avoid Getting Sick This Winter Image

LAREDO, Texas, Oct. 23, 2018 /PRNewswire/ Colds and flu are no fun, resulting in lost work days, breathing difficulties, runny noses, fevers, and other miseries. But winter and the flu season do not have to claim you as victims, and relying on the flu shot and staying away from other people are not your only options.

Judson Somerville, M.D., author of the new book, The Optimal Dose: Restore Your Health with the Power of Vitamin D3(Big Bend Press), says there is a simple, inexpensive way to stay well when others get sick which is often overlooked.

In an interview, he can explain why taking the right daily dose of Vitamin D3 can not only boost the immune system but also assist with sleep, weight loss and the body's natural ability to heal. Somerville has treated thousands of patients successfully with Vitamin D3, including himself.

He can answer such questions as:

  • What is the optimal dosage of Vitamin D3 and why do few medical professionals recommend it?
  • Why is the typical person deficient in Vitamin D3 even if they spend a lot of time in the sun?
  • If D3 isn't a vitamin, what is it? How does it work in the body?
  • How did Vitamin D3 save his life?

Praise for The Optimal Dose

"In this book, Dr. Somerville gives you the solution to avoid illness and doctors' visits, sleep like a baby and lose weight. You just thought it was because you were old. Add this key to your health library." Richard "Ric" Arredondo, BA, past Dallas Open tennis champion and Texas top 5 ranked tennis player
