According to the National Council on Aging, approximately 92 percent of older adults have at least one chronic disease.

Physician, Robert Buckingham believes this number can be significantly lowered through the understanding of a group of cells that line the body's blood vessels, called the vascular endothelium.

His new book, "Hazing Aging" explores how maintaining the health of these cells through basic lifestyle changes can reverse effects of aging and drastically prolong American. Lifespans.

"Health care prevention does not have to be complicated or disjointed, rather it can be wrapped around a core understanding of vascular inflammatory risk mitigation," Dr. Buckingham said.

Topics addressed in the book include but are not limited to, identifying essential foods and vitamins, mitigating chemical additions and the importance of capillary cells.
