President and Founder of The Hollywood Museum, Donelle Dadigan, hosted a very special Lobby Exhibit unveiling, featuring items and from the career of Tippi Hedren (including items worn in the film "The Birds," Edith Head's dress form designed to Tippi's exact measurements, her Golden Globe and a personal gift presented by Alfred Hitchcock when he and his wife, Alma, informed her that she had been chosen to portray Melanie Daniels in "The Birds).

In addition, the event served as Ms Hedren's first official launch appearance for her new Memoir "TIPPI."

Among those friends and family that attended were Barbara Eden, Dawn Wells, Carolyn Hennesy, Patrika Darbo, Don Most, Erin Murphy, Ilene Graff, Rex Smith, Alice Amter, Ruta Lee, Romi Dames, Geri Jewell, Darcy Donovan, Teresa Ganzel, Alison Arngrim, Geri Jewell, Kate Linder, Lee Purcell, Barbara Van Orden, Margaret O'Brien, Jaime Monroy and Tippi's grandson, Alexander Johnson, among others.

For decades, Tippi Hedren's luminous beauty radiated from the silver screen with more that 85 credits, enchanting moviegoers and TV audiences, cementing her position among Hollywood's elite-beauty and star power that has endure to this day. For too long Hedren's story has been told by others through whispered gossip and tabloid headlines. Now, in TIPPI (Harper Collins/William Morrow; hardcover; $28.99) Hedren sets the record straight.

In TIPPI, Hedren reveals topics such as her dreams of becoming a figure skater, her early career as a top model that allowed her to travel the world on her own, life as "The Girl" for Alfred Hitchcock and her experiences with him working on THE BIRDS and MARNIE. Hedren relays stories about the mistake of trying to introduce Hitchcock to Charlie Chaplin (the only woman to have worked with both iconic directors), the experiences working on what has been called the most dangerous film ever made - ROAR, that resulted in the founding of the ROAR Foundation and the Shambala Preserve as well as the struggles to push legislation, to protect the wild ones, through Congress and the threats on her life that resulted. Hedren also explains how she became the Godmother of the modern Vietnamese Nail Industry and she corrects the reports on the surgeries that resulted after an on the set accident and the pain she will live with all her life. And, of course, her ultimate pride, being the Matriarch of an entertainment family with Melanie Griffith (daughter) and Dakota Johnson (grand daughter) and much more.
