Over 50 of author and famed messenger poet Kurt Boone's photos of New York City buskers or street performers - which appear in his recently released photography book - Subway Beats (Schiffer Publishing) were on display at the launch event for the "MUSIC IN THE TUNNELS" exhibit at Quimby's Bookstore NYC in Brooklyn, NY. Scroll down for photos!

The event at the Williamsburg-based store featured a performance by musical / singing saw player Natalia "Saw Lady" Paruz who has busked, appeared internationally and recorded for major record labels. Kurt is also the author of several books of poetry and a memoir of his days as a foot messenger - the fastest in NYC - and the exhibit will be on display until the end of July.
