Drummer. Violinist. Traveler. Peter Aven has trekked through the mesmerizing world of music; a world built upon dreams and hopes and one that throbs to the beat of talent and success. A professional musician for over thirty years, Aven shares a rare and fascinating glimpse into his life and career in the music industry and beyond in "Road Stories: The Experiences of a Traveling Musician".

Aven's talent and career has brought him innumerable adventures, both on and off the stage. He has performed over two thousand gigs with 18 different bands and has traveled to a breathtaking range of locations- from lavish cruise ships, to gritty biker clubs, to dizzying casinos- and he takes readers to all of them through well-told stories that engross with their truth and their relevance to life and music.

"Road Stories: The Experiences of a Traveling Musician" is a combination of reminiscences of Aven's emprises that have their root and reason in the past and his attempts to bridge those events to the present. In writing, the author makes the footloose life of travelling rock n' roll musicians into real stories so engaging as to rival the thrills of popular fiction. His book captivates with the shining details of the many lifestyles and personalities that come alive in every page.

Sometimes introspective, sometimes amusing and always compelling, "Road Stories: The Experiences of a Traveling Musician" is a backstage pass to a storied life and a look into the music world through the eyes of a man who has endured its throes, basked in its glory and lived to tell the tale.
