Peanuts Worldwide, joint venture of Iconix Brand Group and members of the family of Charles M. Schulz, and Sourcebooks, a leading independent publisher and developer, today announced a deal to create original stories featuring the Peanuts gang, designed and written specifically for the Put Me In The Story personalized book app and website. This is the first time that Peanuts books are being made available in personalized form.

Sourcebooks will also re-package classic stories, including Good Grief, It's Your Birthday and Cheer Up, Charlie Brown. Physical and digital copies of these books will be distributed through booksellers, major retailers, and libraries.

"We are thrilled to be partnering with Peanuts," says Dominique Raccah, CEO and publisher of Sourcebooks. "By adding these books to the Put Me In The Story personalized platform, we're giving fans young and old new ways to experience the beloved characters of Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the rest of the gang-a Peanuts story starring YOU!"

"As we continue to build on our strategy of introducing new generations to the Peanuts property, partnering to create stories in new digital formats is key," said Craig Herman, Executive Director of Publishing for Peanuts Worldwide. "We have no doubt that Sourcebooks is the right partner to create quality products featuring the Schulz characters."

The first books- Good Grief, It's Your Birthday and Cheer Up, Charlie Brown-will be released in September 2014.

Sourcebooks recently announced the addition of Hello Kitty and Anne Geddes to the Put Me In The Story app and website. Custom print orders of all Put Me In The Story books are available at www.putmeinthestory.com. The Put Me In The Story app on the iPad is available on the App Store for free.
