LEEDS, Ala.

"Where Soul Meets Fire" (published by Xlibris) is the poignant and powerful story of author Paula Whaley Griggs' family's journey with brain injury. It depicts their story relying on faith and confronting challenges head-on, experiencing one miracle after the other. Written with humor and encouragement for any life situation, this story strives to be an inspiration for anyone.

Griggs wrote this heartfelt memoir after her daughter sustained a traumatic brain injury in a car wreck in 2004. Sending out e-mails each night chronicling her daughter's recovery, she was encouraged to write about the miracles her family experienced as her oldest child recovered and accepted God's plans for her life. Not long after her daughter's wreck, her mother was diagnosed with dementia, and Griggs herself with breast cancer. Advocating for prevention of TBI and early diagnoses of Alzheimer's disease and breast cancer, she desires for her story to be an inspiration to anyone confronting life's challenges.

"People are always looking for answers for navigating life's issues and confirmation that the choices they made were right," author Griggs points out. "I want them to feel confident in making choices that could improve the life of someone they love or even their own life. Believe in God and believe in yourself."

In "Where Soul Meets Fire," readers follow three generations as, time after time, one more miracle is graciously granted. This touching, powerful book serves as a beacon of inspiration, hope and encouragement to anyone who comes across it.
