Paul E. Sago Launches Marketing for His Book

Paul E. Sago's book, "Holy Hodgepodge! Have You Thought about Your Religion Lately?" (published by iUniverse), is the result of five decades of work serving in various religious organizations. Those years have led him to contemplate some teaching of organized churches. Hoping to inspire readers to do the same, he is launching a campaign to expand the book's reach.

"It is more important to be spiritual than to be 'religious,'" Sago explains. "The overall duty of a believer is to trust God and be thankful, without respect necessarily to the church or the 'middle man.'"

"Holy Hodgepodge!" invites readers to scrutinize what they have been taught by their church to accept, often without serious thought, and offers an overview of some religious doctrines of the world. The book explains theological differences between polytheism and monotheism with regards to the religions and beliefs of Egypt, Greece, Rome, Judaism, Christianity and Islam, which allows readers to think about those religions themselves.

In some religions, thinking freely is not fully acceptable. ... To question may be interpreted as doubt. To doubt would be sinful. Sinfulness leads to guilt.
