The incidences of rape, assault, kidnapping almost seems to be a daily and increasing occurrences. Considering this fact, it is conclusive that rape victims suffer numerous detrimental effects, ranging from physical to psychological trauma. How do victims, survivors find the strength to get through it? In Holding On: The Story of a Rape Survival in Light of God's Grace, author Patricia Princeton provides hope and power for victims of rape and how they can survive its disparaging effect.

Holding On: The Story of a Rape Survival in Light of God's Grace is about a stalking, rape and kidnapping that happened 28 years ago. It gleans from Princeton's personal experiences as a victim of these traumatic incidents and how she embarked on a transformational journey towards complete healing. Here, the author shares how she suffers the mind-numbing trauma of being stalked, captured, held prisoner, terrorized, repeatedly raped then dragged away, in full view of witnesses, to a wooded area. It is a delicate subject she couldn't speak of except in the initial statement to the police and then in the court-a horror that lasted nearly 24 hours before she was able to escape. Amidst the appalling incident, she has always seen God's presence, protection and miracles that allowed her to survive. Now, after years of recovery, and with therapy, the journey through darkness back to normal is over.

Through her story, she aims to provide significant information on the harrowing reality of rape and offers help to those who went through the same predicament. Packed with insights, messages and hope, Holding on: the Story of a Rape Survival in Light of God's Grace promises to be inspirational, helpful and encouraging to anyone needing a reason for holding on even in the face of outrageous circumstances.
