Author Pat Patterson drew from her love of the American Southwest region and her research into the Native American cultures of that area to create her novel "SpiritPath" (published by iUniverse).

"SpiritPath" combines action, history and romance with three generational classic love stories, layered with the often conflicting cultures of the Anglo, Navajo and Mexican people who populated the American Southwest in the early to mid 20th century.

An excerpt from "SpiritPath":

"Navajo legends teach that every minute of every day must be devoted to maintaining Harmony between the natural the the spirit worlds, striving for that delicate balance between Good and Evil. This aaii, this Spirit Path, also serves as an escape route for the soul, for if one's way to freedom is blocked, the spirit will be forever trapped and that person will surely go mad."

Patterson will present "SpiritPath" at the 2014 Michigan Reading Association Conference, described as an "unforgettable conference with inspirational speakers, educators, authors and special events," March 15-17, 2014.
